Community Living Fort Erie is thrilled to announce that the 2024 Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie Campaign, which ran from November 18 through November 24, raised $13,757.08. This year’s proceeds will be shared equally between Community Living Fort Erie’s Inclusive Summer Camp Program and the Tim Hortons Camp Foundation, each receiving $6,878.54.

The funds raised for the Inclusive Summer Camp Program will support children with diverse abilities, ensuring they have access to safe, engaging, and inclusive camp activities during the summer months.

On December 13, the Fort Erie Tim Hortons restaurants proudly presented the cheque to Community Living Fort Erie. “This campaign is about coming together as a community to make a difference,” said a Tim Hortons representative. “We are honoured to partner with Community Living Fort Erie and to see the positive impact these funds will have on children and families in our town. Thank you to our staff, volunteers, and customers for their incredible support.”

“This incredible achievement would not have been possible without the dedication of our volunteers and the overwhelming generosity of the Fort Erie community,” said Simon Reeves, Manager of the Family Support Program at Community Living Fort Erie. “Our volunteers decorated over 9,000 Smile Cookies with care and enthusiasm, and it was heartwarming to see the community come together to support such an important cause.”

The campaign’s success highlights the generosity of local residents and the commitment of Tim Hortons franchisees and staff who made this initiative a reality. 

“We are deeply grateful to Tim Hortons and our community for their unwavering support,” said Sandy Leemet, Executive Director of Community Living in Fort Erie. “These funds will enable us to enhance our Inclusive Summer Camp Program, providing children with meaningful experiences and fostering a sense of belonging with already existing camp programs. The children and families we serve for years to come will feel the impact of this generosity.”
