Fun For The Family While Raising Money For The Community
The 2nd Annual Kustom Car & Bike Show will be held Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the Ontario Welcome Centre, across the street from the Fort Erie Race Track.
Ray Calleja of Ray’s Detailing is organizing the event. “This car show is going to be for the family. It’s going to be an afternoon of family fun.
“We’re going to have a model car contest for the kids ages 8-16. There’ll be trophies and prizes, a drawing contest for the kids, drawing cars, and a colouring contest.”
Calleja says it’s going to have a 50’s theme.
“It’s going to be a 50’s car show. We’re going to have a twist competition for the adults. There’ll be a best 50’s outfit competition. We’ll have a DJ playing 50’s and 60’s music all day.
“We’ve got a good assortment of vendors, a variety of small businesses. We’ve got a variety of food. And we’ve got floats — like root beer and ice cream.”
They’ve got a six-foot trophy for the best overall car, and “Best interior, best motor, best paint, and best motorcycle.”
They’ll have a 50/50 draw.
The event is also a fundraiser for COPE and TASC Niagara.

“I’ve been a gearhead all my life. I race cars. I was doing a soapbox derby race before Covid and everything was planned. I was doing it for the kids in August of 2020, but the pandemic took that over. Then, I did my car show last year, partnered with Pride in June.”
Ray admitted, “Last year, I didn’t start the planning as early as I am now. This year, we’ve got a lot of cars, a lot of vendors.”
This year, he really wanted to do something for the kids.
