Get ready to roll up your sleeves, Fort Erie! Mayor Wayne Redekop is calling on residents to come together for a big Community Clean-Up Day in celebration of Earth Day on April 22. This is your chance to make a real difference while having fun with friends, family, and neighbours!

“We’ve been working on putting together a community cleanup program, and the council passed a resolution several months ago,” said Mayor Redekop. “We’ve seen lots of interest from local groups and individuals who want to get involved, and we’re excited to make this happen!”

The event will bring together volunteers from all over town to help clean up parks, streets, and public spaces. Whether you are part of a group or want to lend a hand solo, everyone is welcome!

“A cleanup like this doesn’t just make our town look great. It brings people together and builds community pride,” said Mayor Redekop. “It’s a fun and rewarding way to give back!”

Mayor Redekop is rallying groups and individuals to join the effort. “I’ll be organizing some teams for Earth Day, and I’d love for as many people as possible to join us!” he said.
