Ridgeway Farmers’ Market
On a beautiful, spring morning, the Ridgeway Farmers’ Market began another season Saturday, May 11, traditionally celebrating Mother’s Day, handing out 200 flowers to market-visiting moms.
A variety of vendors — local farmers, retailers and artisans — greeted hundreds of visitors. Fluffy the Clown entertained children and Victor Morgano filled the air with live music.
The Ridgeway Farmers’ Market offers everything from fresh fruit and veggies, honey, cheese, bread, cookies, jams, coffee, bubble tea, and sausages to artisans with unique treasures you just have to witness for yourself.
Becky DiBiase, the new Market Manager can be reached at Ridgewaymarket@outlook.com.
The Ridgeway Farmers’ Market runs every Saturday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm in Trailside’s parking lot, across from the Ridgeway Town Square until Thanksgiving weekend’s Saturday, October 12.
Stevensville Farmers’ Market
This “grab and go” market is preparing to begin Wednesday, June 5.
Located at 2508 Stevensville Road, downtown Stevensville, on the front lawn of the Stevensville Library and Memorial Community Hall, this is a community market based on feedback received from its shoppers.
Although it’s considered “grab and go” for its throughway location and between work and supper, mid-week time, the market has also been expanded this year, which may give reason to “stay and enjoy”.
Fran Mawdsley, the new Market Manager, will be coordinating existing ideas and bringing in new ideas this year such as food trucks, scavenger hunts and information workshops by the vendors and farmers, who will be demonstrating their crafts and farm products, tips and tricks on farming and gardening, and answering the public’s questions.
There is a need for volunteers to read to children during market hours, potentially every week. For those interested, contact Fran.
Applications from Farmers and Bakers are still being accepted.

The Stevensville Farmers’ Market runs every Wednesday from 2:00 to 6:00 pm until September 28.
