Heritage Arts Legacy honours figure skating excellence

John Gagnon, Rhoda Keultjes and Ruby Smith present Madison Strom and Fort Erie figure skating instructor Cheryl Hebbourn received awards of recognition from the Heritage Arts Legacy Council for their respective excellence in sport, community standing and service to figure skating.

An instructor and student pair received laudits from the Heritage Arts Legacy (HART) Council for their excellence in figure skating.
Madison Strom, a Grade 8 student, was awarded $500 and her name placed on the Chadwick Cup as a student of good character and community standing who excels at figure skating.

Her instructor, Cheryl Hebbourn received a certificate of commendation from the Town of Fort Erie, duly signed by his worship the mayor, for her 37 years of sharing her unique figure skating skills and knowledge with the youth of Fort Erie.

Madison is the eighth student to receive this annual award.

The Chadwick Cup is named for Ed Chadwick who supports and monitors the Heritage Arts Legacy.
