Being a sportsman is proudly representing what the amazing sport of sport parachuting is about, whether in competition or demonstration. While there were many strong candidates demonstrating Canadian sportsmanship the week of the 2019 National Championships, John and Janie Wallace stood out above others, displaying sheer passion for our sport, not only with the competitors, but with the public.
This was the first time that the award has ever been earned by a couple and a non-competitor.
John and Janie are the directors of the GERONIMO! Skydiving Team and are very active in promoting sport parachuting and performing at air shows and community events.
The National Championships were put on by the Canadian Sport Parachuting Association. (www.cspa.ca)
