A sweet afternoon of treats, music and community spirit is set to support a meaningful cause in Fort Erie next month.
On Wednesday, May 13, all are invited to a lively Bake Sale fundraiser in support of the Alzheimer’s Society of Niagara. The event will run from 1 to 3 p.m. at 373 Garrison Rd., offering locals an opportunity to indulge their sweet tooth while giving back.
Organizers are calling on bakers of all skill levels to take part, whether they are known for a long-standing family recipe or simply enjoy whipping up something special in the kitchen. The event is also open to anyone who wants to attend, sample a variety of homemade treats, and enjoy a welcoming social event.
“We’re looking for bakers, taste testers, and anyone who would like something fun to look forward to,” organizers shared, emphasizing the inclusive and community-focused nature of the afternoon.
In addition to the wide selection of baked goods expected to fill the tables starting at 1 p.m., guests will be treated to live entertainment by Brad Boland beginning at 2 p.m.
Attendees will also have the chance to try their luck at a raffle, with a basket filled with baking supplies up for grabs.
All proceeds from the event will go directly to the Alzheimer’s Society of Niagara, supporting programs and services for individuals and families affected by dementia in the local community.
Those interested in contributing baked goods are encouraged to RSVP in advance to ensure space is available. Organizers have also created a Facebook event page to help coordinate participation and spread the word.
Whether you’re a seasoned baker, a dessert enthusiast, or simply someone looking to support a worthwhile cause, the May 13 Bake Sale promises an afternoon of flavour and fun.
