The Friends of the Library Spring Used Book Sale exceeded expectations, raising more than $5,700 in support of local library services.

Organizers thanked the many residents who came out to browse, purchase, and donate books, helping make the annual event another success.

Volunteers stayed busy by sorting and organizing thousands of donated books to assist shoppers; their dedication and preparation ensured everything ran smoothly. Organizers noted the sale would not be possible without their commitment.

Community support was also evident in the variety of book donations received in the lead-up to the sale, offering something for readers of all ages and interests.

Proceeds will benefit the Fort Erie Public Library branches, helping fund programs, resources, and services that support literacy and lifelong learning.

Organizers are already looking ahead to their next sale on October 3, 2026, hoping to once again bring the community together in support of reading.
