Fort Erie Father / Daughter Duo Set New World Record From 43,525 ft

Millicent Simonics, FEO, October 1, 2026, Volume 8, Issue 2

Fort Erie’s own Dr. Artaj Singh, the familiar face of clinical expertise as Lead Physician at Primary Care Niagara, has once again taken his philosophy of “calculated risk” to unprecedented heights. Just one year after making headlines by setting an official Guinness World Record for the highest tandem parachute jump from 42,917 feet, Dr. Singh returned to the stratosphere in September 2026 to break his own record – this time, with his daughter.

As summer came to a close, Dr. Singh summed up their ambitious plans, saying, “We decided to end this wonderful summer with a bang.”

On the morning of September 13, 2026, Dr. Singh leaped into the skies over Tennessee yet again, accompanied by 24-year-old Amrita Singh. Together, the father-daughter duo set out to eclipse his previous mark.

As with his previous jump, reaching such extreme altitudes required rigorous preparation, including pre-breathing 100 percent pure oxygen to prevent decompression sickness, alongside absolute precision from the flight crew. Despite minor mid-air drama and technical glitches, including an issue with one of the video cameras, the pair landed safely, concluding what Dr. Singh described as an exhausting but triumphant endeavour.

Immediately following the jump, Dr. Singh shared the early projections, stating, “At this point, we broke the record at over 43,506 feet,” alongside a “free fall for 118 seconds, reaching 278km/hour speed.”

Confirmation of the new record didn’t take long. Following thorough data analysis and GPS verification later that day, Dr. Singh confirmed: “Skydive record height verified by independent judge this afternoon at 43,525.88 ft” – over 13.2 kilometres above the Earth.

For Dr. Singh, taking to the clouds extends a life lived with extraordinary drive. What began as a spontaneous impulse during a trip to Namibia in early 2025 quickly evolved into a repeated, record-setting pursuit. Aviation is familiar ground for the family; both Dr. Singh and his wife hold pilot credentials, creating an environment where he can take to the air once more, this time with his daughter Amrita.

When he isn’t leaping from aircraft at the edge of space, Dr. Singh’s primary focus remains rooted firmly on the ground. Beyond caring for patients at his urgent care clinic in Fort Erie, he has visited about 60 countries and done extensive international humanitarian medical work across Africa and Asia.

Whether he is coordinating community healthcare access in Niagara, building critical medical infrastructure overseas, or pushing the boundaries of human altitude yet again at 278 km/h, Dr. Singh continues to prove that dedication and passion know no limits.
