Dinner Dance Fundraiser: A Caribbean Christmas! Set for Saturday,
November 16th, 2024, at the Fort Erie Leisureplex, 1 Municipal Drive,
the evening will transport guests to a vibrant tropical paradise
complete with dazzling décor, lively music, and an authentic
Caribbean-inspired menu._
“Our goal this year is to bring a unique, tropical flair to Fort Erie’s
holiday season,” shares Sandy Leemet, Executive Director. “This event is
always a highlight of the year, and we look forward to sharing this
festive experience with our community. We encourage everyone to secure
their tickets early and be part of this special night!”
The event invites local businesses and organizations to get involved
through various sponsorship opportunities, which come with numerous
perks, such as acknowledgment in promotional materials, social media
shoutouts, and the chance to enjoy the festivities from a VIP table of
eight. Top-tier sponsors will also have the chance to showcase their
brand through banners or signage and will receive a charitable donation
receipt.
Tables of four are available at $500 or $250, and businesses are also
welcome to contribute by donating raffle prizes or sponsoring an
advertisement in our event program. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go
toward initiatives like the Opportunities Grant, which aims to empower
people with intellectual challenges by enabling full participation in
the community.
“We’re inviting everyone to join us in making a positive impact,” says
Margaret Fidler, Manager of Community Development. “Every contribution
helps us to support and uplift those with intellectual challenges in our
community. It’s more than just an event; it’s an opportunity to come
together and create lasting change.”
The event, organized by a passionate team of twelve volunteers since
February, promises a festive atmosphere with live Caribbean
entertainment, a photo booth, themed drinks, and much more. Despite
financial uncertainties, Community Living Fort Erie is proud to keep the
event accessible, maintaining the same ticket and sponsorship rates for
the past twelve years.
