Brennan discovered his passion when he decided to take a photography class in high school. “I found it was my niche, and I just kept with it. I realized I wanted to capture memories.” He’s been capturing memories for eleven years now. “In fact, my slogan has been, from the start, ‘Capturing life as it happens.'”
He had been taking automotive shop for a couple of years. Photography, at first, was meant to be on the side. By being honest with himself, realizing it was the photography that was his passion, he shifted direction.
His two interests began to overlap.

“I started with automotive photography. I’ve always been a car guy. I go to car shows and book private shoots. I did that for quite some time, now just here and there. For the past two years, I’ve expanded. I’ve been booking weddings with friends and local people.” He’s looking for more summertime events to shoot.
Brennan says his brand is what his slogan implies. He loves to capture life as it happens through photography. He loves to be present when a moment is experienced, capturing that moment forever with his camera. There are endless life moments to capture.
Living in Fort Erie all his life, Black finds, especially in the summer, the area provides him with more than time will allow with the festivals, sports events, Canada Day at Ferndale Park and Ridgefest, to name just a few.
As a young family man with a wife and small son and daughter, he can incorporate his personal life with his photography life by packing up the kids and heading out to the many summer community events to capture life happening.
He prefers those candid moments. “I will have people pose, but I will also take shots while they don’t realize I am photographing them,” Black says those shots are the ones that stand out.
One unique and extraordinary experience Brennan has been able to capture is his lifetime friendship with local, Alf Beam, of Alfred Beam Excavating Ltd. “He has known me since I was born. I go up for flights with him here and there.” Adding gratefully, “It’s definitely an opportunity that not many would get.”
Beam and his friends are well-known to locals for flying their planes over the Greater Fort Erie area every Wednesday afternoon, along with organizing past airshows.
Brennan has had his photography published in a list of fashion magazines: Beautica, Lybell, Approved, Charisma, and Hottest. His goal is to someday work his photography business full-time.
