Fort Erie Golf League & Club News

It’s a great time of the year especially if you are a duck! Regardless, just like the Kentucky Derby, we have some incredible mudders.

The Old Fartz were troopers this week to endure the spring conditions. Randy Wheaton was low for the young “old” guys with a round of 63, while Super Fart of the week was Ray LaCourse with 69 and Andy Gavine was the low Phenomenal Fart with a score of 80. Blair Aston was low net Old Fart with 54 followed by Super Fart Tom Savage with 55. Mike Howard and Marius Czarnowas tied the Old Pro, Gibby, with their handicap score of 65. Skins this week went to Harry Blackwood, Curtis Findlay, Tom Savage and Doug Kidd.

Some of the Boyz of Monday Night managed to get an early round in this week. Leading the pack were Tim Chute and Jordyn Rowling with rounds of 63. Rez Romanyk was next best with 65 followed by George Walls with 66. Gary Romanyk was low net for the week with 52. Dino Mileni and Jordyn Rowling were skins winners and Rafael Velasquez was the lucky 50/50 winner.

There were a few ladies that proved they are not made of sugar. Low gross winners this week in their respective age categories went to Debbie Woehl with 66, Nancy Valliquette 66, Carolyn Hall 77 and Shirley Tufford carded a 90. Shari Breen had the best low net with 60. Tara Ryan had low net for the nine-hole girls with 42, Wendy Gibson was low gross senior with 39. Low net winners were Judy Nicholls with 38 and Dianne Ferguson with 33. Sandi Foster, Susan Howard, Debbie Woehl and Nancy Valliquette all made the birdie tree for the first time this year.

Rusty’s League had their first outing of the year and Jay Tosky was low man for the night with a beautiful opening round of 61. Dave Woehl earned low net man of the week with 56. Skins this week went to Dave Woehl, Uncle Roger Woehl, Rob Schutt, Ken Seebach, Glen Noble and Randy Brunton.

It looks like the weather might just be looking up. Let’s hope so!
